Our Purpose

ir goal as Orthodox Christians is to become by grace what God is in His Nature, to become Holy. The ministry and sacraments of the Church are for the transformation of sinners into people filled with the glory and presence of God, as scripture says: "unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." (Eph 4:13)

Repentance is our primary work, a "passing from death into life." It is reorienting our minds away from the world, and from ourselves, and towards God. In this the Church is our "hospital," the place where we are given the spiritual medicine of the sacraments, and the encouragement of our fellow Christians.
